Kutter
Kutter is probably the hardest short story I've ever written. I started it and then put it aside for nearly a month. But now that it's done, I have to say that it's my current favorite.
It's a story about a teenage girl who is, as the title indicates, a cutter.
Accepted! NVF Magazine sent me an email asking for submissions. They are gong to print their magazine quarerly in paper form next year and they were looking for stories. I immediately sent them a copy of Kutter. They responded back on Thursday, September 25, 2008, saying they liked the story and wanted to print it in the April-July 2009 Issue!
Then, on October 5, 2008, NVF Magazine sent me an email asking if they could publish Kutter in their upcoming Halloween anthology And Soon...The Darkness as well! Look for that to come out in the UK soon and I will be sending out information on where you can purchase it.
Update: on October 15, 2008, the Halloween anthology, And Soon...The Darkness is available to order! Go to Turner Maxwell Books to purchase it. Turner Maxwell is a British publisher, so Some notes on purchasing: The price of shipping includes the price for International shipping, so you can order it from the US. Also, you have to have a PayPal account to order. The price is £7.99 plus £2.50 shipping, for a total of £10.49. That comes out to about $20 US. Six books is about the optimum number to maximize shipping. Six books comes out to about $112 US, so about $19 a piece.

Update: on May 28, 2009, Kutter was published in the online Issue 6 (June-August) version of NVH Magazine.
