Her Face Framed by Flowers
Her Face Framed by Flowers came out of a writing exercise with my daughter on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
It's a piece of short flash fiction about how the world can be beautiful and ugly, all at the same time. Okay, that's really vague, but the word count is so short that if I give you more, I give it away.
On a totally unrelated side note, this is evidently my holiday piece. I submitted it twice, the first time on the 4th of July and the second time on Halloween. And it was published for the second time on Thanksgiving day. Maybe I should do something with it on Christmas.
Update: On Tuesday, July 28, 2009, I received notice that The Daily Tourniquet is going to publish my story, probably on Saturday, August 1, 2009.

Update: On Friday, November 6, 2009, my flash fiction Her Face Framed by Flowers was accepted for publication and will be published by Flashes In The Dark on November 26, 2009.
