My Biography

Doug McIntire is a central Texas author who writes computer training by day and horror fiction by night. He has been writing horror for a couple of years now. When he's not writing, he likes to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spend time with his wife, Maria, and two children, Xavier and Sarah.

His work has appeared in numerous online venues including Six Sentences, The Tiny Globule, The Dunesteef Audio Fiction Magazine (as a podcast), The Abacot Journal, SNM Horror Magazine and The Monsters Next Door. He has fiction appearing soon in The Drabblecast, Bards and Sages Quarterly, The Drabbler and NVF Magazine. He also has work printed in the NVF 2008 Halloween anthology, "And Soon...The Darkness."
He has a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts from The University of the State of New York, Regents College (now Excelsior College).
He has taught computer certification classes and was a noncommissioned officer in the United States Army for 9 1/2 years. He studied the Russian Language for a year at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 1989, jumped out of perfectly good airplanes in Fort Benning, Georgia in 1986, and was named the Soldier of the Year for III Corps and Fort Hood in 1987.
